Cancel from Settings on the web or, if you bought through a store, from the app store. The Chain license is per branch. When you reach a limit we let you know: we never block a sale halfway.
Frequently asked questions
Does Cajón work offline?
Yes. The Register saves sales on your phone or computer: you can charge even with no signal and, when it comes back, everything uploads by itself. If your phone turns off, what you already charged stays saved. You need internet to sign in the first time and to see your shift report from somewhere else. The card reader, CFDI invoicing, AI-written ads, the shared catalog and teamwork also need a connection.
Do I need to buy a barcode scanner?
No. Your phone camera scans. If you work from a computer, any USB or Bluetooth scanner in "keyboard mode" works, including the one you may already have. You can find them in online and electronics stores.
Can I sell the same product by the kilo and by the piece?
Yes. Each product has the pack sizes you want (kilo, half kilo, piece, dozen, case), each with its own price, and inventory is deducted using the conversion you set (one case = 24 pieces). You can also type 1.35 kg directly.
How much does it cost? What does the free plan include?
The Free plan is $0 forever and is meant for trying things out: 1 user, 10 products, unlimited sales, offline use, by the kilo or piece, scanner, labels and a basic shift report with 30 days of history. When you sign up you get 14 days of full Business, no card needed. Business costs $149 and Team $399 a month, in pesos with VAT included; Chain costs $799 a month per branch. Subscribe on the web with a card or inside the mobile app with your Apple or Google account (the store price may vary).
Does it work on iPhone, Android and computer? Do I have to install anything?
Today Cajón works in your phone or computer browser, with nothing to install, and you can add it to your home screen. The iPhone and Android app is already on the App Store and Google Play. If you would rather not install anything, use the web version in your browser. No card needed to start.
Can I sell online with my own store?
Yes. Your online store uses the same products, prices and photos as your register. Your customers see the catalog, build their order without creating an account and pick it up at your store; the order arrives in Orders and you let them know when it is ready. They pay you on pickup, directly to you. It is part of the Team plan; there is no home delivery or online payment yet.
How do I add my employee?
In the app, from Team, you send them a code or a QR. Your employee scans it or types it on their phone, you accept their request and choose what they can do: charge, change prices or see the shift report. No emails or long passwords. Business includes 3 users.
How do I count what I have in my store?
Open Count inventory, choose what to count (everything, a section or a shelf from your floor plan) and point the camera at each product barcode or use the + and − buttons. You instantly see what matches, what is over and what is missing, and how much money that is. Your employee can count "blind", without seeing how many there should be. It is part of the Chain plan.
What is drawing my store for?
To keep track of where everything is. You draw your table, small shop or store with its shelves, fridge, stockroom and registers, and tell each spot which products go there. It takes minutes with a template, and it helps you find everything and count one spot at a time.
Does it alert me when someone orders something?
Yes. The app sends a phone alert when an order comes in, when a product is running out, when your shift report is still open and when your plan is about to expire. You turn them on or off with a switch in Notifications, inside the app.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. It works in your phone or computer browser, with nothing to install, and whatever you change on one device shows up on the others instantly: prices, sales and products. The iPhone and Android app is already on the App Store and Google Play.
Can I issue invoices (CFDI 4.0)?
CFDI 4.0 invoicing is available once you activate your RFC and CSD. It is designed for the Team plan (30 stamps a month included; Chain, 100) and, if you need more, extra stamp packs are available. Write to us to activate it for your store.
Does it connect to my Clip or Mercado Pago Point reader?
From the Business plan, once you connect your Mercado Pago or Clip account. The card payment starts from the Register and the money goes to your account, not ours. The fee is your reader's, same as today.
Can I bring my catalog from Excel or from the system I already use?
Yes. From Business you import your Excel in minutes (name, price, barcode, cost). On any plan you can export your catalog and your sales whenever you want: your data is yours.
How many employees can I have and what can they see?
Free: just you. Business: 3 users (more for $39 a month each). Team: 10, with up to 3 couriers. Chain: 30 users per branch and up to 10 couriers. You give each one a role: who charges, who changes prices, who sees the shift report and who can cancel a sale.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export your catalog and your sales to Excel before you go, and you cancel whenever you want with no penalty: from Settings on the web or, if you paid through the App Store or Google Play, from the store. Canceling the plan does not delete your data, it just moves your store down to the Free plan. If you ask to delete your account, you have a 30-day grace period before it is deleted.

Is it safe? Where are my sales stored?
Your sales are stored on your device and synced with our servers when there is a connection. Your card reader credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown back. Only you and the users you authorize can see your store data.
